It was a weekend to remember at Snetterton Circuit as Jack Burgess delivered a flawless performance in the latest round of the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship. With two commanding race wins and a front-row qualifying result, Jack showed speed, control and confidence throughout the event, further strengthening his championship campaign.
Front Row Start Sets the Tone
Qualifying saw Jack lock in P2, securing a crucial spot on the front row and setting the tone for the battles ahead. With a solid car setup and strong pace, expectations were high and the team knew a podium was well within reach.
“Qualifying in second was exactly what I needed. The car felt brilliant and I was ready to push from the start.”
Respectful Battles and Race Day Glory
Race one featured a brilliant battle between Jack and fellow driver Thomas Merritt, with both pushing the limits in a clean, hard-fought contest. Joined closely by Lewis Islin, who impressed on his debut, the front of the field put on a textbook display of junior racing talent.
“The race was intense but really respectful. Thomas and I gave it everything, and Lewis was right there too. It was great racing from start to finish.”
Jack came out on top, securing his first win of the weekend and sending a strong message to the rest of the grid.
In race two, Jack repeated the feat. With the same focus and sharp execution, he managed tyres, maintained pace and controlled the race to take another brilliant win and maximum points.
“I’m overjoyed. Every lap took focus, strategy and a team effort. I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support from everyone around me.”
Race three was unfortunately abandoned due to an oil spill on track, but by then the damage had already been done, Jack had cleaned up with two wins and a weekend of racing he won’t forget.
